The beanlib project was published in July last year to allow Android developers to build apps for the Bean, bringing Android support on par to iOS. The unofficial SDK has since been used in many apps.
The official SDK will remain open source, and MIT licensed. New features have already been added by PunchThrough and the project has migrated to Github. Upgrading should be as easy as changing the Maven coordinates.
With that the original project is now deprecated and will not get any more updates now that it has served it’s purpose.
